stealthy1 3,964
Here I am sat on my PC the other night reading my E-mails, when this one marked URGENT! caught my eye. It was one of the landowners that I do a bit for asking me if I can dissapear some rabbits for him as they were eating all his rape, so sent a reply saying I would take a look the next day. The next morning I picked up my magicians top hat and drove out to have a look at this infestation. After a quick walk around the area I came to the concusion that there were about eight'ish rabbits causing the diggings out in his feild, I could see why he thought there were more, because when I got to the field there were 3 rabbits sat out in the sun munching on his prized rape. So the stage was set for some magic The next day I arived on site with two of my team, Anikah (polecat) and Honky (albino) the lurcher had to stay at home because this little show was close to a busy road, and I did'nt want to lose her to a passing car, so no dog Right, the nets were set, And I was ready to produce two little mustelid witches to weave their magic on these problem bunnies First in was Honky, with a veiw to putting Anikah in at the other end of the warren. Apart from the fallen tree in the first pic, this is one of those places you know holds a few rabbits, but look the other way as you walk past it on your way to the humus rich soiled pasture land you love to work, because its full of nettles, wild rose, bramble, hawthorn, everything rabbits love,, and we hate, cant remember the number of times I lost my wooly hat to the thorns It was'nt long before the magic mustaleds worked their spells on those crop munching bunnies, and the first one popped out. One up to team magic, and number two was quickly cloaked in the same place while I was re-setting the net from the first bolter Number three was well and truely caught:D Number four was a nice plump bunnie which was bolted by Anikah Here's a small vid of Anikah giving me a hand with this one The next bunnie I saw was a runner that popped out of a pop hole I'd not seen, and got away And number six amazed me and did the same, wish the dog was here And that as they say was that, nothing more for the ferrets to do except the end of day shot Anikah. Honky. Anikah making sure we dont get any more runners Keep at them! stealthy. P.S Took the dog out later in the afternoon because I felt bad about leaving her in, but thats another story. 2 Quote Link to post
